The rangers all gave very informative (and interesting) talks, and much information was gathered in preparation for the coming research internal assessment. A very successful field trip (even down to the exciting ride on the double decker bus along the Sceanic Drive).]]></description>

<p>The following is a list of workbooks that will be needed by students doing science in 2008. Your teacher will advise you as to which books you will need in their class.  </p>
<p>Student workbooks not only allow for practice of concepts taught in class, but are also an aid when revising for examinations at the end of the year.</p>
<p>Payment should be made to the office and students bring the reciept to thier teacher to receive the books.</p>

<p><font face="Times New Roman"><strong><em><u></u></em></strong></font> <em><font face="Times New Roman">When a volcano erupts, ash, pumice is blown out of the main vent. This causes lava to come out of the crater and flow down from the summit. It can be a very tragic disaster when a volcano erupts as many houses and people can be destroyed. A few years ago a volcanologist was tragically killed. He fell into the crater and got owned by magma. Years later, when the volcano had eroded, his body was discovered burnt and destroyed. Erosion occurs after heavy rain and snow. When a volcano becomes dormant it means the volcano will never erupt again.</font></em><em><font face="Times New Roman"> </font></em></p>
